We were very comfortable dealing with Russ Schaefer right from the very beginning, he was very knowledgeable and professional. He had an exceptional crew working for him and they were always eager to answer any questions or concerns we had and the job site was kept clean every day. The quality of work was outstanding and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Schaefer did a beautiful job with our siding. Russ is very patient and worked with us to make sure we got a final product that we loved. There were a few issues that came up after the project and I was worried that they would disappear since they had already been paid, but that didn't happen. They came back and fixed our problems at their expense. Overall, I think Schaefer Remodeling is a great company that you can trust.

Our house required several special touches, such as siding a turret , wrapping special mouldings around the windows, and using mahogany for our porch ceiling, and the finished product was beautiful. Russ Schaefer immediately understood what I wanted when remodeling the exterior of our nearly 100 year old home. I was very specific about what I wanted in terms of siding product and installation without corner boards and with all woven corners, and we had a lot of corners. More importantly Russ ideas about window treatments had me convinced to go with his company. The end product is an indication that I made the right decision.

I would HIGHLY recommend Schaefer remodeling to ANYONE in New Jersey who is looking to have Hardie Plank siding installed on their home. Period. They know this product and offer installation elements that make the final product something special. Russ Schaefer was by far the best of the contractors we met with to discuss our project and obtain an estimate. Russ offered excellent recommendations based on his experience to enhance the overall project without adding tremendous cost. The recommended details we ultimately selected have made all the difference in the excellent outcome of the project. Alfred, the Project Manager, was always extremely professional and courteous. We can honestly say that he went over and above in making sure we were pleased. Also, enough cannot be said about the quality of the work. Louis and his crew were clearly very experienced in all aspects of working with Hardie Plank siding and Azek trim materials. They were meticulous in virtually every detail. In fact, the building inspector even commented on how perfect the caulking was around the windows and other areas. When you read about instances where Hardie siding fails the cause is invariably the quality of the installation. The Schaefer Remodeling crew (supervised by Alfred and led by Louis) clearly had the expertise and commitment necessary to install the product to meet and/or exceed manufacturer specifications. Russ, Alfred and Louis were all simply excellent to work with and I would not hesitate in the least to work with Schaefer Remodeling again or recommend them to others.

I was in the construction business as a sub and general contractor for 46 years. I worked from New York to Florida building banks, homes, and airports. Schaefer Remodeling was the most professional group of people I have ever worked with. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Overall the experience with the workers was very positive. They did a good job and their attention to detail was great. My issues are with the management when I had a concern.

When my wife and I first proposed this project, the contractor we had used on three renovations promised to come up with an estimate. After six months of phone calls, broken promises and apologies, we gave up and searched for another contractor. We found Scaheffer Remodeling through the James Hardie siding web page, and we have been thoroughly impressed. Russ Schaeffer listened to our ideas, offered some of his own and quickly came up with a proposal we loved. As we near the end of this renovation, we cannot help but marvel at the professionalism of Schaeffer Remodeling and the attention to detail. We are impressed by the high level of workmanship and by the great communication. Russ and Alfred have listened patiently to my wife and seemingly appear unphased by the changes she has proposed mid-project. And for that, I owe them my undying gratitude.

Schaefer did a really superb job in doing the work. The job site stayed clean, and was properly organized each night. The workmanship was superior and we are very pleased with the way it turned out, and much of that was because of various Schaefer recommendations.

Great crew!. They worked on my old bar in the bitter cold! I have horses that had to be brought in every night and the guys made sure the area was clean and safe. They adjusted to the big issues with and old building and added Items that I wanted. I would use them again!
