Contractors understand the importance of keeping clients and workers safe. Many have adopted new standard ways of working, such as replacing in-person meetings with virtual conferencing and limiting the size of on-site crews. Ask your potential contractor about the specific measures they have in place to ease any concerns you may have.

Rick was our estimator, and he did a great job explaining everything in detail and answering our off the wall questions. Better explanation than what another company offering the same product, but Rick was completely laid back vs the other company's high pressure sales techniques. He actually told us that our original siding was in decent condition and new siding wasn't needed for a few more years if we'd just do a few fixes that he explained. His honesty was VERY appreciated and one of the big reasons we decided to go with Pacific Exteriors.Jason was our Project Manager, and has great communication skills to answer all my questions and address all my concerns in a timely manner- before, during, and at the end of the project. He was able to schedule the project to start my first day of vacation time that I had previously scheduled so I could be home for the project. The actual start time for the project was a comfortable amount of time for us to take care of things that needed to be done for the project to start. Pacific Exteriors offers financing (which can be used as bridge financing giving you time to find another loan) through a 3rd party lender which is quick and convenient, and no penalty for paying off the loan early. The original T-1-11 siding on the house was still in okay shape, so the Hardie Plank lap siding went over that (I'm thinking the plywood construction of T-1-11 is a better material than OSB to nail siding to).If you got improvements/additions such as extra exteriors lights, they'll facilitate your plan on their end and install the blocks for your new lights so they're all flashed in professionally for great weather resistance (they won't install the lights of course, they'll just re-install the fixtures they take down for the project). I wanted square blocks where I would have a vertical surface for the mounting brackets of a 30' tall TV antenna mast to mate to. I just had to mark the area on the side of the house where I wanted them. I asked for, and they installed, ginormous extra large gable vents to accommodate ventilation requirements for a whole house fan I'm planning to install. The delay time between signing the contract and talking with the project manager and when the siding crew actually showed up was a comfortable amount of time allowing us to take care of the pre-project jobs such as tear out old rotting shed attached to the carport and a section of fence so they can access the side of the house, get pictures off walls and trim vegetation back, and time for me to install sections of 2x10's between the studs inside the walls for my antenna mast mounts to bolt to. The siding got done in three days by a well motivated and polite crew. The painters were a few weeks later to paint soffits/gutters/light blocks/etc and also did a great job. Looks like a brand new house and don't have to worry about painting for a few years! It was explained to us at the beginning that scaffolding would have to be fastened to the roof or fascia (2-story house). I just had a 50-year roof put on the house the year before, so I had my roofing contractor come back out after the project was completed and replace 12 shingles where they attached the scaffolding as I wasn't satisfied with the patched holes and wanted to retain my roof warranty. We are very happy with the end product and recommend Pacific Exteriors.
